David 'Dave' Thomas Holmes, 56, of Bellevue, OH passed away from complications from his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Dave was born on August 22, 1968, to Fred and Geraldine (nee Boggs) Holmes in Sandusky, OH.
Dave was raised in Milan, OH and graduated from Edison High School in 1986. He was a member of the Huron Eagles Club, Lake Erie Aerie #2875, where he was a former trustee. He worked as a printing press operator for over 37 years for Label Aid, Huron, OH.
Dave was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed listening to music, especially his favorite, Pink Floyd. Of all else, Dave treasured time with his family and his grandchildren.
Surviving members of Dave's family include his children Chris Dennis (Renee) of Huron, Lora Cordle of Bellevue, and Ryan Dennis (Connie Dugger) of Bellevue; several grandchildren; siblings Daniel Holmes of Brooklyn, OH and Bonnie Holmes of Sandusky; and niece Amanda Eckenrod of Sandusky.
Preceded in death by his wife Cheryl (nee Gadd) Dennis-Holmes, parents Fred and Geraldine Holmes, grandmother Ada Mann of Norwalk, OH, stillborn brother Michael Holmes, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 1-4pm, at the Huron Eagles 2902 Cleveland Rd. W., Huron, OH 44839.
