David A. Miller

David A. Miller,80, of Frewsburg passed away Monday, May 26, 2025 in his home. He was born March 11, 1945 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Ralph and Gladys (Hettenbaugh) Miller. David attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by Cresent Tool and Blackstone. Prior to retirement he was employed by Bush Industries. He was dedicated to Frewsburg Fire Department for 25 years and life member. He was Captain of the Fire Police for Frewsburg Fire Department and served on Chautauqua County Fire Police. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on cars and socializing with others. He is survived by longtime companion, Rachel Strek of Frewsburg., his son David A. Miller Jr. (Larenda) of Satsuma, FL; three daughters: Lisa Miller (Tom) of Jamestown; Michelle (Cliff) Marsh of Frewsburg, Rebecca Owles (Andrew) of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren: Danielle Mattson, Megan Ploeckelmann, Calvin (Ashley) McAdoo Jr., Brandon Philbrick, Torie Lucas, Jerry (Mercedes) Abbey Jr., Victoria Rettger, Amber Kutschke, Jessica Rettger, Sierra Owles, Robert E. Owles IV; 14 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren Clifford Marsh II, Nicole Quimby, Sabrina Barrett, Tiffiny Lutgen; 11 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Clyde Miller, Robert Miller, and Richard "Rebel" Miller as well as his ex-wife Betty J. Miller of Jamestown. The family would like to thank the staff of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care for the care that David received and support for the family. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Lemon will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Bob Benson, chaplain of Frewsburg Fire Department will conduct a Fireman's service at the cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A Fireman's Memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to the Frewsburg Fire Department.
