It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Carol Wilson Caldwell, who departed this world on June 5, 2025, at Well's Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 74 years old. Born on March 17, 1951, in Harlan County, Kentucky, Donna touched many lives throughout her journey and leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service.
Donna devoted 30 years of her life to teaching at Beechfork Elementary, where she inspired countless students and fostered a lifelong love of learning in many young minds. Her passion for education was not just a profession but a calling, and her impact on her students will be remembered fondly by those she taught.
A cherished member of the Upper Beechfork United Methodist Church, Donna was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to her community. She participated actively in church activities and was a source of support and kindness to many.
Donna is survived by her son, Alex Caldwell and Natalie Gross, and her daughter, Amanda Caldwell. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Bryan Wilson and his wife Karen, as well as her sisters, Janie Jones and Kaye Brock. Donna's family also includes her beloved grandchildren, Mallory Caldwell, Jemma Gibson, and Jaylyn Caldwell, along with her nephew, Jordan Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her loss deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Underwood Wilson and Evelyn Wilson, her husband, Edgar Caldwell, Jr., and her nephew, Joshua Wilson. Donna's memory will forever reside in the hearts of those whom she has left behind, honoring a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to inspire.
Funeral: Monday, June 9, 2025 at 1:00 P.M.at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.
Minister: Teddy Brock
Interment: Caldwell Family Cemetery, Helton KY.
Visitation: Monday, June 9th at 12:00 Noon at the Funeral Home Chapel
Pallbearers: Alex Caldwell, Bryan Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Matthew Brock, Kenny Collett, Devin Wilson & Tommy Caldwell
