Elda Jean Alexander, age 90 of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on May 26, 2025. Jean, known affectionately as Mawmaw by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, is survived by her son James Alexander, Jr., grandchildren Travis Alexander (wife Sara), Hunter Alexander (wife Jannah), Alicia LaHaye (husband Andre), Cooper Alexander and seven great grandchildren, including Juliette, Riley, Emily, Eloise, Elijah, Evan and Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband James Malcom Alexander, Sr., her parents Buck and Lula Walters, sister Betty Sue Walters Howell and brother James Walters. Jean was a loyal member of First Baptist Church of Pearl River for 53 years. Jean dedicated herself to being a valuable part of the community as a proud local business owner of Alexander's Home and Auto for 45 years. She loved spending time working in her gardens, bowling in her younger years and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be forever cherished by those she leaves behind. Her funeral service will be held on Monday June 2, 2025, at noon with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service begins at Williams Funeral Home 67525 Highway 41, Pearl River, Louisiana, 70452. Interment to follow at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearl River, Louisiana.
