Eleanor J. Bender, 81, went home to meet her Lord, Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Conway, SC with her daughter, Carol Cervone, and her sister, Rosemarie Bender and sister-in-law Valerie Wilmer, lovingly by her side.
She was born on September 30, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA. The daughter of the late Charles (Bucky) Bender and Helen (Weber) Bender.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Susan (Stinson) Slevenski, her son, Chuck Stinson, her siblings, Charles (Sonny) Bender, Stephen Bender and Kathy (Bender) McCoy.
Eleanor loved life. Bringing joy to everyone she met. She loved dancing, working hard and meeting new people. She especially loved living life to its fullest. She was a die-hard football fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. As well as, a huge supporter of her beloved President Trump! She worked as a waitress for 32 years at the Gingham House. She then worked with her daughter, Carol, as a waitress at the La Casa D' Lucia's for many more years. Her last job was at the Tabis House, Assisted Living, being a blessing to all the residents there. She retired at the age of 73 and moved with Carol to Conway, SC.
She was a strong, devoted Mother, who loved her Children, loved her Grandchildren and she loved her family As well as her Grand-Cats "Zena & Alli Girl".
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Carol (Stinson) Cervone, Sister, Rosemarie Bender, Grandchildren, Great-Grand Children, Nieces and Nephews, along with other beloved family and friends.
Her celebration of life will be held, Saturday, August 2nd, at Galzerano's Funeral Home on 9304 Old Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia, PA from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. The Rev. Daryl Winston, Esq. will be officiating the service. Family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Eleanor will be sadly missed, by not only her family, but by everyone whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanor's name to your local animal shelter.
