Francisco Serrano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 27, 2025.
Francisco (Cisco) Serrano, 92, born on October 12, 1932, in Hermosillo, Senora, Mexico, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 20th. On October 20th, 1979, he married Hope, and they stayed happily married for 45 years. Together, they enjoyed camping at Pismo, going to Las Vegas and the horse races. Cisco proudly served in both the Marines and the Army. He was a licensed barber and bartender. He was an avid cook, golfer, and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. One of his many joys was watching his granddaughters, Shelby and Sarah, play softball. He is survived by his wife, Hope, siblings, Vickie, Gilbert and Lorraine, children, Francisco, Mary and David, grandchildren, Nichole, Francisco III, Victoria, Christina, Shelby and Sarah, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ramona and brother Martin. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for their prayers, support, and sentiments. Special thanks to Hope's sister Maddy, husband Cep, son Marky and his girlfriend, Viannette. Services will be held on Thursday, March 6th, at St. Frances Church beginning with a rosary at 10am, followed by Mass at 10:30. Military honors will take place at the National Cemetery in Arvin at 12:30.
