Frank Dougherty, Jr. of Maple Shade passed away on Friday September 12, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born in Philadelphia on April 6, 1951 to the late Frank, Sr. and Evelyn Dougherty and was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade. Frank was a self employed accountant and a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He enjoyed trips to the mountains and Disney World. Some of his many hobbies included collecting model trains, listening to music and watching various sporting events. Frank volunteered for many years as coach and treasurer for the Maple Shade Soccer Club. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of 44 years to the late Janet Dougherty (nee Conley), loving father of Jennifer (Steve) Palasch, Jeffrey (Susie) Dougherty and Shawn (Nicole) Dougherty, cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Brenna, Griffin, Liliana, Kierstin and Margaret, dear brother of James (Cindy) Dougherty, the late John Dougherty, brother-in-law of Karen (Ross) Martin, James (Lisa) Conley and the late George (Elizabeth) Conley, Frank will also be missed by dear friends Barbara Gyenge and Joseph O'Donnell, as well as many nieces, nephews and other good friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation and gathering with his family on Tuesday September 16th 10 - 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society @cancer.orgArrangements by the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Maple Shade.
