Frank James Morgan Sr. entered into rest on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 75 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on March 21, 1950 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Morgan; his parents Maxie Morgan and Elvira Olguin; and his brothers Glenn and Maxie Morgan.
Frank met and married the love of his life, Guadalupe Alvarado, and they shared 20 wonderful years together. Together, they had two children and built a life full of love and family. Frank retired from the railroad in 1993 after 21 years of service. He was a proud grandfather to James Amescua and Max Morgan, who he adored and brought him great joy.
He is survived by his children, Anna (Robert) Amescua of Brackettville, Texas and Frank (Twila) Morgan of Rankin, Texas; grandchildren, James Amescua and Max Morgan and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Frank will be remembered for his kind heart and devotion to his family.
The visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM in Brackettville Sunset Funeral Home at 302 E. Spring St, Brackettville, Texas.
The mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church at 301 S. Ann St, Brackettville, Texas.
Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Frank Morgan, Jr., James Amescua, Glenn Morgan, John Fritter, Jesse Terrazas, Chewy; honorary pallbearers are Max Morgan, Robert Amescua, and George Waddell.
The interment will follow at Kinney County Cemetery. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Frank, please visit our floral store.
