Gene Allen Knott,74, Passed away on May 24, 2025 at Princeton Baptist Hospital. Born On September 10, 1950. Gene was known for his outspoken personality, always speaking his mind yet maintaining a soft heart for most everyone he encountered. Gene had an accomplished career as a salesman, where his sharp skills and nature greatly contributed to his success. A proud Army veteran, he carried the discipline and camaraderie from his military service throughout his life, influencing both his professional and personal relationships.

He attended Minor High school and was an active member of his community, especially at the Elks Lodge. He loved spending time with his friends there. His hobbies also included fishing, which he loved to share with his closest companions and his son Craig, creating memorable experiences. He also loved to cook. His favorite thing was to have Sunday dinner at his house with family and he always shared food with friends and family that couldn’t come over. If he loved you; he fed you!

He leaves behind a loving family including his sister Barbara Noe; his two children Craig Knott (Tosha) and Melisa Knott. His grandchildren Cole and Chloe Kynard were the light of his life.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents James Edward Knott and Mary Ellen McCleskey Knott. His loving wife Nancy Knott and his brother James (Jimbo) Knott. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home on May 30, 2025. The family will receive friends beginning at 12pm with service to follow at 1pm. Gene will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unwavering honesty and his enduring love for his family and friends.
