Georgia Mae Green, 83 of Montrose, AR transitioned Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Lake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was a native of Itta Bena, MS, and a former resident of Homestead, FL, and Greenville, MS. She was a restaurant cook, and a member of King James Bible Baptist Church in Greenville, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee Green, one son, Joe Lee Tinny, parents, Elijah Tinny and Calloway and Alberta Singleton, two brothers, Calloway Singleton, Jr., and Rayfield Singleton, four sisters, Florida Mae Wright, Amy Lee, Mary Lee Cooper, and Gloria Dean. Georgia enjoyed working word search puzzles and playing dominos. She was a faithful member of her church until her health failed. She loved the Lord and she loved attending church.
She is survived by one brother, Delinzy Singleton of Homestead, FL, four sisters, Rosie Singleton of Hamburg, AR, Rebecca Singleton of Montrose, AR, Martha Ann Carpenter of Indianola, MS, and Alberta Hadley and husband Jim of Montrose, AR, three grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives.
Graveside Service is Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 11:00 A.M at Montrose Cemetery with Pastor David Owens officiating. Burial in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
