Gerald “Jerry” Young, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Young. Born in Canton, Ohio. Jerry resided in Massillon, Ohio. Graduated from Lincoln High School and attended Kent Stark University. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Jerry retired from LTV Steel. Jerry enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, classic cars, old radios and his time with Anna, his Collie dog.
Left to cherish his memory are siblings, Jean (Tom) Shoup, Robert Young, Thomas (Linda) Young and James (Mary Jane) Young; and stepchildren, Amy, Mike and Richy.
A memorial service is planned with military honors. Donations to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the caring nurses at Aultman Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic. Condolences and special memories of Jerry can be shared with his family online at www.heritagecremationsociety.com
