I write today to remember not only a co-worker but someone who was like a second mother to me. For 20 years, I had the privilege of working alongside Gerry and in that time, she became far more than just a colleague - she became family.
From the very beginning, she took me under her wing. She guided me through the ups and downs of work and life with patience, kindness, and wisdom. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her door was always open, her advice always sound, and her heart always full.
She had a mother´s touch, nurturing, protective, honest, and loving. She cheered me on in my successes, offered comfort in times of struggle, and always reminded me of my worth, even when I couldn´t see it myself. Her presence brought warmth to every room.
Although it's been years, I thought of you often and will continue to do so. You will be greatly missed and you were truly loved. My deepest condolences to the entire Smith family.

Gerry was extremely thoughtful and kind, and fun-loving at work at ACCU...I will forever appreciate the collection of Lenox Christmas ornaments she gave our daughter Erica every Christmas...I personally cherished them and looked forward to the gift each year. We are so sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers. Ed & Laura Damm xoxoxo
