Geraldine T. Smith June 23, 1948 – August 2, 2025 Geraldine "Gerry" Smith of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2025, after a long illness, with her beloved family by her side. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Madeline Lucillo (née Bordone). Gerry was the devoted wife of 55 years to Philip J. Smith, whom she met nearly 60 years ago on a blind date when they were just 17. The love they shared was truly magical-rooted in deep friendship, unwavering devotion, and a lifetime of cherished memories. Gerry was the adoring mother of Stephanie Rhodes (Keith) and Lauren Angelo (Robert), and the proud grandmother of Reiley, Beckham, Carolina, Tyler, and Kyla. She was the beloved sister of Lorraine D'Afonso (James), Lawrence Lucillo (the late Barbara), and Patricia Ann Godio (Steven). She will be deeply missed by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and an abundance of lifelong friends. From an early age, Gerry's kind spirit and empathetic nature were evident. Becoming a mother was one of her greatest joys, and her daughters brought endless happiness and pride into her life. Professionally, Gerry was a dedicated and highly respected office manager. She began her career with Bell Telephone in Philadelphia right out of high school and retired from Accu Staffing in Cherry Hill after 22 years of service in a pivotal leadership role. Her work ethic, reliability, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with her. Gerry was an avid reader, a wonderful listener, and someone who made everyone feel seen and heard. She loved traveling with Philip-especially to Aruba-and treasured summers with her family at their Brigantine condo. Once you met Gerry, you were her friend for life. Her loyalty, compassion, and fun-loving nature made her the heart of every gathering. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 8th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name, in Delran. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ 08075.

I write today to remember not only a co-worker but someone who was like a second mother to me. For 20 years, I had the privilege of working alongside Gerry and in that time, she became far more than just a colleague - she became family.

From the very beginning, she took me under her wing. She guided me through the ups and downs of work and life with patience, kindness, and wisdom. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her door was always open, her advice always sound, and her heart always full.

She had a mother´s touch, nurturing, protective, honest, and loving. She cheered me on in my successes, offered comfort in times of struggle, and always reminded me of my worth, even when I couldn´t see it myself. Her presence brought warmth to every room.

Although it's been years, I thought of you often and will continue to do so. You will be greatly missed and you were truly loved. My deepest condolences to the entire Smith family.

Gerry was extremely thoughtful and kind, and fun-loving at work at ACCU...I will forever appreciate the collection of Lenox Christmas ornaments she gave our daughter Erica every Christmas...I personally cherished them and looked forward to the gift each year. We are so sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers. Ed & Laura Damm xoxoxo
