Gwyn Trumbo Obituary

The family and friends of Mrs. Gwyn Mary Trumbo wishes to announce her early morning, May 17, 2025 welcome and admission into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Her legacy is that of a generous and giving soul... One who consistently offered aid and succor to anyone and everyone she deemed in need. Her human compassion knew no bounds, whether in the form of material things, or in the form of mental and emotional support.

To friends, family or even complete strangers, Gwyn was a giver. If she didn't offer you the shirt off of her back, she probably didn't know you needed a shirt.

Gwyn had so many admirable qualities, a delicate balance between elegance and simplicity, but her giving spirit shall be her enduring remembrance. May she be granted a resting place in heaven of the highest order, for she has spent much of her treasured life earning just such an honored status. She was and is loved, and she loved intensely but quietly in return. Those of us left behind to mourn her passing know this to be true for all time!

Gwyn was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Strey and George Joseph Lehmann, II, her mother, Margaret Lehmann and her sister, Joyce Cloutier.

Gwyn is survived by her heartbroken husband, Jack Trumbo, her brothers Bradd Lehmann (Kathy), George Lehmann (Patricia), her brother-in-law, Dr. Ray Cloutier, her son, Robbie Trumbo (Jennifer) and a great number of extended family and friends. Their memory of her loving life shall be without end...Amen

Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Simpsonville Baptist Church, 7208 Shelbyville Road, Simpsonville, KY with visitation after 1:00 P.M. until time of service.

Dear Jack, please accept my sincerest condolences to you and your entire family.
Gwyn saved my life during a time I didn´t even realize I needed saving. You both welcomed me into your home and treated me like family-something I will never forget.
Gwyn and I shared many celebrations together, and often it was just the two of us. That´s what made those moments so meaningful.
Rest well, my dear friend. Until we meet again. ~Anna C.
