James Dale Adams, 87, of Fishers passed away on March 20, 2025. Jim was born on December 19, 1937, in Indianapolis to Forrest Victor and Velma Dorothy (Switzer) Adams.
Jim was a 1955 graduate of Emmerich Manuel High School. He had a strong work ethic from a very young age, running a paper route in the city at 8 years old. He worked as a Mail Room and Reproduction Supervisor for Western Electric in Indianapolis. He then transferred with AT&T to Shreveport, LA, and Columbus, OH retiring in 1994 with 39 years of service. Jim enjoyed golfing, watching high school and college basketball, the Indiana Pacers, gardening with tomatoes, and was a member of the Roadrunner RV Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Jim is survived by his wife Barbara (Clements) Kingery Adams who he married on May 24, 1975. He is also survived by his children Cynthia Adams and Randy Kingery; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife Wynona (Carver); children Brenda Adams and Kirk Kingery; and brothers William K. Adams and Thomas Adams.
At Jim's request, cremation services will take place, and no formal services are scheduled at this time. So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Just today 7-5-2025. He was the best boss I ever had in my career. ALWAYS backed his people. And we also would back him. Great sense of humor. Kind hearted. Also so sorry to read about losing Kirk. Barbara you are in my prayers. You will always have memories that will always be in your heart. And the LOVE always the Love.
