James "Jimmy" Cox Jr., 60, of Fresno, California, passed away on February 4, 2025. Jimmy was born on July 16, 1964, in Fresno, California, to the late James and Julia Cox. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Cox, and his brother, Richard Cox.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon Cox; his son, Brandon Stringfield, and his girlfriend, Katy Preston; and his cherished grandson, Kayce Stringfield. He is also survived by his niece, Samantha Gusa, and her husband, Lynn Gusa; his niece, Jessica Cox; his nephew, Joshua Cox; and numerous grand nieces and nephews, and friends.
Jimmy had a deep passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and mudding, activities that brought him both joy and adventure throughout his life. Known for his spirited nature and love for family, Jimmy created countless memories with those who were fortunate to know him.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 10, 2025, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.. Feel free to wear your camo overalls.
Jimmy will be deeply missed, but his adventurous spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
