James Thomas Moore of West End, NC and formerly of Dillon, SC was born on December 22 1949 to the late Charles Luther and Pearlie Barbara Deese Moore and passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 completing his journey of 75 years.
In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his great grandmother: Zoe Deese( Mama Pit), his Aunt Maggie Oxendine and Uncle Hoss Deese.
James attended Rowland Church of God at an early age. He was known to many as a "Number One Sheetrock Man." He was very intelligent and was known as family historian to many. In spare time, he loved to watch westerns. Growing up he loved to play Tennis. Later in life he acquired a love for horses. Often times he enjoyed cooking and spending time with family.
Mr. Moore is survived by his children: Kenneth Oxendine of Laurel Hill, Paula Moore Price(Tim) of West End; Mary Moore Locklear of Laurel Hill, Amber Meyers of Conroe, TX, Michael Lepore of Florida and Cody Harrington(Brianna) of Florence, SC; one sister: Jacqueline Moore of Richmond, VA and one brother: John C. Moore(Dee) of Florence, SC; a nephew: Charlie Moore(Di) of Burgaw,NC;14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survives him.
