Janice Kaye Wilson, 79, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 10, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Blanche and Stanley Carter.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved daughter, Lesley Ann Church; her stillborn brother, Gary; and her devoted husband, Richard Wilson.
Janice attended Parkview High School until her senior year when she then moved to Glendale High School where she was a member of its first graduating class. She continued her education at Oklahoma City University.
After many years of volunteering in her children's lives, Janice began a successful career in real estate. She first worked closely with Carol Jones Realtors before joining Murney and Associates, dedicating over 30 years to the profession. Janice deeply valued the friendships and relationships she built throughout her real estate career.
Janice was an active member of the PTA, the Junior League of Springfield, First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, Hickory Hills Country Club, Artisans Art Group, Knit Wits, Bunko Babes, Pool Bridge, and Birthday Group. After her husband's passing, Janice was truly blessed to have the unwavering support of her dear friends from Adventure Friends, P.E.O., and Gal Pals.
During the many winters she spent in Naples, Florida with her husband, Janice became actively involved in The League Club, the Garden Club, and the Trois Wine Club, where she formed lasting and cherished friendships.
Janice had an incredible knack for staying connected - somehow, she always knew what was going on.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lindy Fielder, and husband Bryan; her three treasured grandchildren, Elizabeth Hinson (Daniel), Stephanie Deck (Carl), and Benton Fielder (fiancé Erika); and her four adored great-grandchildren, Benjamin Hayes Hinson, Scottie Jane Hinson, Carl Edward Deck IV, and Frances Fielder Deck. Her heart was fullest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at First and Calvary Presbyterian Church from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, with Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM. Private Family Burial will follow the Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Harmony House, First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
