Jerry William Marek, aged 90, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025.
Born on January 27, 1935, in Minnesota, he lived a fulfilling life dedicated to family and his work as a dairy farmer. Known for his exceptional care of his Holstein cows, Jerry embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication that defined his rural roots.
He was a loving father to his four children, Linda, Sue, Scott, and Collene, and cherished the memories shared with them throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon, his son, Scott, his daughter, Linda, his son-in-law, Allen Albee, and his grand daughter in law, Maria Scheider.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Susan (Steve) Van Meter and Collene "Coke" (Bruce) Scheider, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerry was the son of Joseph and Evelyn, who instilled in him the values of integrity and perseverance. His life was marked by resilience, family bonds, and a profound connection to the land he tended for so many years.
A visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg on August 29, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM . Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Jerry's memory, to reflect on the impact he had on their lives, and to share stories that celebrate a life well-lived.
Jerry will be remembered not just as a farmer, but as a devoted family man, a community member, and a friend to many.
