Joseph S. Perricone, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Flemington, New Jersey, at the age of 79. Born on October 14, 1945, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he lived a rich and meaningful life defined by his unwavering devotion to family, and impressive professional accomplishments.
Joseph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and went on to build an outstanding career as Vice President of Operations for Pyro Chem, a division of BorgWarner Corporation. Over several decades, he became known for his strategic leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to excellence. He was an early advocate for Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory systems, helping to reduce waste and increase efficiency across operations. His ability to guide teams and streamline complex processes left a lasting mark on the company and his industry.
Joseph lived life with enthusiasm and adventure. He was a proud and active member of the Porsche Club of America and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He especially enjoyed spending time at bike meets and took great pride in riding and building his motorcycles alongside his close friend Mike Sofranko. Their garages were a place where friendships were forged, engines were brought to life, and memories were made that will last forever.
At the center of his world was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Georgianna, with whom he built a life full of love, commitment, and shared purpose. Together, they raised a close-knit and supportive family. He leaves behind his children, Daughter, Jacqueline Dangelo and her husband Todd Dangelo, and Son, Joseph S. Perricone, III, who will cherish his memory and the many values he passed on.
He was a loving grandfather to Alexa and Ava Perricone and truly cared deeply for each of them. He is also survived by his sisters, Rosemary Monaghan of South Carolina and Frances Ricciardi of Kempton, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Angela Perricone.
In remembering Joseph, we honor a life of dedication to family, work, and friends.
