Juan C. Gonzalez, 86, of La Feria, Texas, entered into rest on February 2, 2025, at his home,
surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Marmolejo, San Carlos, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Guadalupe and Maria Gonzalez, Juan
lived a life full of love, warmth, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia Medina Gonzalez of La Feria; his children, Esmeralda Gonzalez and Juan Luis Gonzalez (Elsie Lizarraga); and his cherished grandchildren: Jacqlyn A. Caballero, Jordan A. Caballero, Eloisa Gonzalez, Amee Gonzalez, Kenny Gustavo Gonzalez, Juan Luis Gonzalez Jr., and Roxanne Gonzalez. Juan also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Ozias Gonzalez and Jayson Gonzalez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Additionally, Juan is survived by Sandra Reyna Ramos, Maria Elena Reyna Ramos, and Evangelina Ramos Sauceda, whom he loved as his own children and helped raise with care and affection.
He was preceded in death by Eloisa Elvira Gonzalez, the mother of his two children, who passed away on March 5, 1996, and his parents, Guadalupe and Maria Gonzalez.
The family would like to thank Israel Vega and his staff at VHC Family Health and Night Clinic, as well as Maria Elena Garcia and her family, for their loving care and support during Juan's time at home.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Rudy Garza Palms Funeral Home in La Feria, Texas. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm that evening. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Rudy Garza Palms
Chapel in La Feria with Pastor Roberto Madrigal as officiant. Burial will follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery in Harlingen, Texas.
Pallbearers will include Jordan Alberto Caballero, Alberto Zavala, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Jose Antonio Gonzalez, Jesus Tobias, Juan Antonio Guardiola. Honorary Pallbearers Guadalupe M. Gonzalez and Carlos Guardiola.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Palms Funeral Home in La Feria, Texas.
