Juan "JT" Trevino, Sr. entered eternal rest June 5, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born September 29, 1950 in Berclair, Texas to the late Esmerejildo Trevino and Aurelia Garcia Sandego.
Family and friends will gather for visitation Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home Goliad, 214 N. Market, St. in Goliad, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad with burial to follow at Berclair Cemetery. Honoring JT as pallbearers will be Juan Trevino, III, Joseph Lujan, Aldo Guerra, Jr., Rene Garcia, Jacob Castaneda, JJ Castaneda, Kade Bednorz and Blanca Guerra. Honorary pallbearers will be Guadalupe Trevino and sons, Ventura Garcia, Jr., Joe Garcia, Sr., Jessie Nino, Roger Hernandez, Noe Ramirez, Kay Mancis and Benny Briseno.
JT worked for O'Connor Ranch for 15 years. He was known by everyone not just for his hard work but for his heart. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. His kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him.
He loved being outdoors and doing yard work. He enjoyed visiting yard/estate sales looking for tools and treasures, along with dancing, cooking and spending time with those he loved. JT found his greatest joy in his family-especially attending his grandkids' sporting events and hosting lively family gatherings. He loved to see his grandkids running in and out of the house, filling it with laughter and energy.
A jokester at heart, JT was always ready with a prank or a playful scare, just to see someone smile. His sense of humor, warm spirit, and loving nature made him unforgettable.
JT will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His legacy of laughter, generosity, and family devotion will live on in our hearts forever.
In addition to his parents, JT was preceded in death by his sons, Juan Trevino, Jr. (Mary), Jessie Trevino (Onie); son-in-law, Aldo Guerra, Sr.; brother, Ventura Garcia, Sr. and sister, Leandra Garcia.
JT is survived by his loving wife, Angelita Trevino; daughters, Leandra Humphrey (Reggie), Olga Guerra (Lee), Cynthia Castaneda (Joe), step-daughter, Gloria Ramirez; step-son, Noe Ramirez (Shannon); 20 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
