Judith B. "Judy" Smith, 73, of Port Royal, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Greenwood Village, Lewistown.
Born on July 29,1951 in Port Royal, Juniata County, she is a daughter of the late Robert B. Burns and Dorothy E. (Welshonse) Burns. On November 6, 1971, she married her surviving husband, Larry A. Smith with whom she was blessed to share over 53 years of marriage before her passing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Bryan Smith, one granddaughter, Paige Smith and fiancé, Preston Smith as well as various nephews. Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Robert C. Burns and a daughter-in-law, Carol Smith.
Judy worked as a beautician, as well as the supervisor of the housekeeping department at Brookline in Mifflintown. and lastly as a home care aide.
She was a member of the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, the Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5863, Mifflintown and the Dry Run American Legion, Post 232. Judy enjoyed sitting on her porch and anything to do with hummingbirds.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May 15th, 2025 at 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, PA with Pastor Jodi Strawser officiating.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15th, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Smith's memory can be made to the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, 316 Main Street, PA 17082.

Haven't seen Judy for a number of years, but have fond memories of our years at TVHS and playing saxophone together in the band.
