Karen Goins Johnson
May 7, 1954 - June 20, 2025
Karen Ann Goins Johnson, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on June 20, 2025. Born on May 7, 1954, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Karen was known for her unwavering love for her family, her kind spirit, and her generous heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Grace Goins, and her brother, Larry Goins.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert "Poochie" Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Brian Beaty; grandchildren, Cole and Nicole Beaty, and Morgan and Caleb Collins; and her great-granddaughter, Frankie Beaty. She also leaves behind her sister, Sandra Duncan, as well as several beloved family members and friends.
Karen worked at Hardwick Clothes for 38 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, she found great joy in spending time with her family, baking treats for loved ones, and thoughtfully sending cards to brighten the days of her family and friends.
Her greatest joy came from being with those she loved. Whether gathered around the table or celebrating life's simple moments, Karen's warmth and love created a sense of home for everyone around her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Westwood Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. the family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Lee Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if you choose, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Karen's memory to: Lottie Moon Missionary Fund (in memory of Karen Johnson),
