Kathleen Ann Thomas

Kathleen Ann "Kathy" Thomas (Pichler), 75, of Northport, Washington, passed away on March 15, 2025, at Mount Carmel Hospital. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Kathy was born on December 11, 1949, in Everett, WA to Carl and Kathleen Pichler. She grew up in Maltby, WA, then moved to Wapato, WA where she graduated high school. Kathy moved to Northport in the early 1970's where she settled for the remainder of her life. She was proud to serve on the Northport School Board, as well as her position as a Northport Town Council member for many years.
Kathy was born into a musical family and there are many fond family memories of listening to and playing music. She grew to love darts in recent years and looked forward to dart nights at Kuk's Tavern, always providing updates on Facebook on how darts went each time. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles, hunting, watching the stock car races in Northport, as well as watching court tv and true crime shows. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. Above all, Kathy's favorite thing to do was spend time and share stories with family and friends. She had many, many friends in the area and could rarely go anywhere without seeing somebody she knew and would always take the time to stop and say hi. She will always be remembered for her strength, independence, friendliness, humor, wit, and for her love of family and community.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Kathleen Pichler, as well as her sister, Majoria Gere. She is survived by her brother, Charles Pichler; children Carl (Jenny) Case, Jill Thomson, and Kimberly Gassaway; stepchildren Wayne (Salina) Thomas, Joe Thomas, and Kristin (Ryan) Bryden; grandchildren Carl Case (Kylie Zink), Gary Austin Case, Shaye Carter, Loomis Gassaway, and Kenzie Thomas; step grandchildren Valerie Thomas Cox, Andi Bryden Yu, Bella Bryden, Zachary Thomas, and Jaron Thomas; great grandchildren Barett Hart, Gavin Case, and Madilyn Case; nephews Wayne Loeslin and Wayde (Cindy) Leslie; niece Candy Ochs; great nephews Tell Ochs (Kiona Stubbs), Peter Loesslin, Blake Leslie, and Blaine Leslie; great nieces Karen (Jeff) Walton and Leslie Betz (Masaki Matsuo); great-great nieces Majoria Slonaker, Emily Stubbs, and Lily Ochs; and many cousins.
A service will be held in Kathy's memory on Saturday March 29, 2025, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the CE Building located at 503 Center Ave, Northport, WA.
