Laura McClellan Morrow, 72, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025 in Denton, Texas. She was born to Bates and Leah McClellan in Houston, Texas on November 18, 1952. While the family moved around some in her youth, it wasn't long until they put roots down in Denton and made it their home. She graduated from Denton High School and then went on to get a degree from Texas Woman's University. She spent the bulk of her life working in Human Resources for many local city governments before her third and final retirement a few years ago.
Laura was a pillar of strength and love for her family, always offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, and unwavering support. Laura was also a woman of prayer and belief. Whether you were lucky enough to know Laura or not, she likely prayed for you. Her understanding and trust in the Lord was a guiding light to her colleagues, church members, friends and family and will be dearly missed.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son Christopher Morrow. She is survived by her sister Peggy Houdek of Denton, Michael Morrow and wife Kelly of Denton, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 3rd at 1:00pm at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery in Denton, Texas with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Red Cross, an organization she served with for many years.

Laura & I were in the HR business at the same time some years back. I remember her as a lovely, gracious person & I liked her the moment I met her. How could I not? My prayers are with her family & friends. I know she will be greatly missed.
