Loretta Mae Lumar Brignac departed this life at her residence on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 88. She was a native of Edgard, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Loretta retired after 30 years as a Hotel Housekeeping Inspector. Beloved wife of the late Wardell Brignac, Sr. Loving mother of Gregory Brignac, Carol B. Thomas, John Brignac, Sr., Wardell Brignac, Jr., Stacey Brignac, Deadreal L. Deggs and Denise Brignac. Daughter of the late Octave and Leontine Roussell Lumar. Devoted sister of the late Leona Gibson, Hazel Dorenslet, Vivian Pierre, Dorothy Gaines, Lucille Gauthieo, Wilbert, Raymond, Freddie, and Joseph Lumar. Loretta is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker, 455 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney Speaks, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.; Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m.; Tribute to follow.
