Lorna Fay Smith was born on August 13, 1941 in Bollinger County, a daughter to Carl Nathan and Nora Ellen (nee Cheek) Raines. She died at her De Soto home on April 7, 2025 at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughter Debra Gail (Wesley) Waller, Cadet; her son Tim (Amanda) Smith, De Soto; her daughter in law Kim Smith, De Soto; her grandchildren: Christine (Kevin) Giblin, Alan Smith, Jr., Jacob (Josephine) Young, James Young, Hannah (Tom) Robison, Aimee (Laramey) Tillman, Nathan Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Caleb Smith, Emily Smith, Luke Smith, Ethan Smith, Gideon Smith and Grace Smith; several great grandchildren and a brother in law Bro. Carl McKalip. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Delbert Dale Smith; two sons: Delbert R Smith and Alan Dale Smith, Sr.; a grandson Ezekiel Morton Young; two sons in law: Patrick Fortner and Rev. Larry Young; three sisters: Ethel Ransom, Wilma Baugher and Esther McKalip and two brothers in law John "Les" Ransom and Ed Baugher. Photo Slideshow
