Lorraine M. Adams

Ms. Lorraine Adams, a beacon of intelligence, creativity, and adventure, passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 77, due to complications from cancer in San Antonio, Texas.
Born on July 14, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lorraine brought joy and light to everyone she met throughout her remarkable life. Lorraine's journey led her to an esteemed career in nursing while also completing her Master's degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Her dedication to caring for others extended beyond her professional life into her service as a veteran of the United States Air Force, where she exemplified courage and commitment. Lorraine's profound impact on her patients and colleagues was marked by her unwavering compassion and expertise.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Lorraine's heart was truly at home with her beloved family. She was a loving mother to her son, Reid Fawcett, and daughter, Tracie Baker. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of each of her five grandchildren, Cole Fawcett, Kayla Hall, Ashley Fawcett, Kaitlyn Baker, and Sydney Baker, who will cherish and honor her memory. Lorraine's love and guidance also extended to her dear sisters, Jayne Muirhead and Lynne Shannon, brothers-in-law, John Engerman and Rick Shannon, brother Bob Hunt, and sister-in-law Suz Hunt who together shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She also cherished her time with her partner, Paula (PJ) Mann, and had many fun and memorable times spent together.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Lorraine found peace and contentment in nature walks and the serene embrace of the beach. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly during family vacations, where she would lead her loved ones on explorations of new sights and experiences, creating lasting memories.
Friends and family were the cornerstone of Lorraine's life, and she relished every moment spent in their company, filling their gatherings with laughter and warmth. Lorraine's legacy is one of inspiration and love. Her intelligence was matched only by her creative spirit, which she expressed in every aspect of her life, especially the art she created. Her adventurous nature encouraged those around her to seek joy in the journey and to embrace life's possibilities with open hearts.
