Louis G. Mata was born in Glendale, Arizona, in 1932. From a young age, he exemplified strong character and resilience, qualities that would define his life. In 1961, he and his family moved to Huntington Beach, California, seeking new opportunities and a bright future. Louis was a dedicated family man who shared nearly 70 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maria Rosa, a testament to his loyalty, love, and commitment. Together, they built a warm and nurturing home filled with love, laughter, and music.
He was proud of his role as a father to six children: Rosemary, Louis, Gabriel, Diane, Gilbert, and Nacho. Louis took great joy in raising his children, instilling in them values of kindness, hard work, and humor. A proud Korean War veteran, he served his country with bravery and honor, and his experiences in the military contributed to his strong, compassionate nature.
Throughout his life, Louis was known for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and love for singing, which often brought joy to those around him. His caring nature and positive outlook made a lasting impact on his family and friends.
