Lucille Bailey, 88, of Sweetser, passed away at 4:35 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born in Bath County, Kentucky, on Sunday, March 15, 1936, to Arthur and Delcie (Perkins) Harman. On June 24, 1952, she married Verl Bailey.
Lucille was a Press Operator with General Tire until her retirement in 2004. She loved her family and enjoyed having them over. She also loved to cook.
Survivors include her son, Roger "Darrell" (Leslie) Bailey of Converse; daughter, Brenda (James) Westfall of Sweetser; brothers, Wilson (Margaret) Harman of Owingsville, KY, and David (Polly) Harman of Flemingsburg, KY; sister, Phyllis House of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Harman of Carlisle, KY; brother-in-law, Gilbert Fickle of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Casey (Gail) Bailey of Amboy, Brady (Carly) Bailey of Warren, and Michael (Katie) Westfall of LaFontaine; granddaughter, Kristie (Kolby) Shultz of Sweetser; 11 great-grandchildren; and best friend, Sue Mabry of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Bailey; father, Arthur C. Harman; mother, Delcie Harman; brothers, Arthur (Donna) Harman, Jr., and Sidney Harman; sisters, Linda Fickle, Delores (Charles) Reed, and Ada Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Billy House.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a service to celebrate Lucille's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Taylor Frank and Michael Westfall will be co-officiating. Burial will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery in Amboy.
