Margaret Mae ( Falter) Allen, fondly known as Peggy, formerly of Millersville, MD, formerly of North Port, FL, currently of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025. Peggy was 89 years old. She was born in Baltimore, MD on December 9, 1935, to Edgar and Margaret (Donahue) Falter. Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Leonard (Ken) Allen and her granddaughter, Kelly Marie Bell. She is survived by her son, Glenn Allen, her daughter, Diane Cooper, her son in law, William (Bill) Cooper, her daughter, Linda Allen-Bell, her son in law, John Bell, her granddaughter, Lindsay Bell (Dara Rodgers), her grandson, Ian Bell (Chelsi Bell) and her great grandchildren, Max and Emery Bell.
Peggy attended St. Edward's and graduated from Seton High School. She worked for the C&P Telephone Co., Anne Arundel County Public School's cafeterias and as an income tax keypunch operator for the state of Maryland. Her greatest joy was her role as Memaw, supporting and watching her grandchildren, Lindsay and Ian grow each day.
She was involved in her Catholic Church community, in Severn, MD, prior to moving to Florida. Peggy participated in Jazzercise and water aerobics, well into her 70's. Crossword puzzles were her passion.
Peggy will be missed by all who knew her.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
