Margaret L. Clark, 96, of Columbus passed from this life on May 10, 2025, at 3:05 a.m. at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Born on October 24, 1928, in Jonesville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Virgil Morton and Eva G. Hall Hubbard.
Margaret married Everett LeRoy Clark on November 2, 1946, weaving together a partnership that spanned nearly 64 years until Everett's passing in 2010.
Survivors include her cherished children, Roger (Linda) Clark of Columbus, Randy (Debbie) Clark of Jonesville, Rhonda (Rick) Brown of Columbus, and Roxena (Kevin) Burton of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Ginger (Frank) Jordan, Natalie Clark, Mollie (Taylor Lewis) Clark, Korry (Lorna) Clark, Miranda (Dan) Georges, Karla (Michael) Boggs, Tabitha (Adam) Fish, Andrew (Haley) Brown, and Monica (Drew) Robison; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown, Reid Jordan, Kendrick Clark, Ryne Fish, Michaela Georges, Baleigh Fish, Nate Georges, Maddie Georges, Kayson Clark, Spencer Fish, Brooklyn Brown, Kingstin Brown, Lincoln Brown, and London Brown; and great-great-grandchild, Leilani Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; twin sons, Ronald and Donald Clark; her parents; siblings, Glenn Hubbard, Bertha Simmons, Robert Hubbard, Gene Hubbard; and her great-grandson, Caleb Fish. Her memory will be cherished as a testament to the unwavering love she cultivated throughout her lifetime.
Mrs. Clark retired after many years of service from Cummins Engine Company where she served as a secretary.
Margaret's life was marked not only by her dedication to family but also to her faith and community. For more than six decades, the melodious chords of her piano spread joy and comfort to the congregation of Jonesville Christian Church since the tender age of 9, she also willingly served as treasurer. This love of music was just one aspect of her giving nature; she was also known for her thoughtful card-sending tradition, ensuring that everyone received a little brightness on their special occasions.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Jonesville Christian Church with Pastor Doug Redford officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 3-7 p.m on Wednesday and also from 10:00 a.m. till time of service Thursday at the church.
Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
In memory of Mrs. Clark memorial contributions may be given to the Jonesville Christian Church.
