Maria De Lourdes Reyes Valadez, 70, of Greenville, Texas, passed away January 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, with Deacon Marco Antonio Cruz officiating. A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. followed by a visitation from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Maria was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on February 12, 1954, to Antonio Reyes and Salustria Valadez Olbera. She married Raymundo Rico on December 10, 2022, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She worked as a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her cooking and serving others. She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
She is survived by husband, Raymundo Rico; son, Eugenio Rico Reyes and daughter in law, Sol Soto; daughter, Maria Figueroa and son in law, Juan Figueroa; brothers, Jesus, Sebero, Ermilo; sisters, Laura, Fatima, Eulogia, Clara; grandchildren, Elisa Rico, Cain Figueroa, Joselyn Figueroa, Elio Rico and Elan Rico.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, and 1 brother.
