The services celebrating and honoring the life of Marilyn Susan Wells, 75, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 28, 2025, in the Christian Church of the Covenant with Pastor Paul Rangel officiating. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.

Marilyn was born September 28, 1949, to Spencer and Theta Long Dixon in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life May 23, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Lahoma graduating from Lahoma High School with the class of 1967. She went on to attend and graduate from college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, in Wetherford. After her schooling she began her forty-seven-year career at Vance Air Force Base in the Vance Installation restoration program office. At the same time, she worked part time at McDonalds and later JC Penny when Oakwood Mall first opened. After years of night school, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma Engineering school with a master’s degree in environmental engineering in 1991. She enjoyed tole painting, selling many items in craft shows including at the Affair of the Heart, attending tole painting conventions, and traveling, she absolutely loved Paris.

She is survived by her son Dustin Wells, of the home and many, many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Spencer and Theta Dixon,

Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
