Martha D. Darling (née Kozik) passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, May 14,2025. She was 86. Martha was born October 15, 1938 to the late Michael and Edith Kozik. Martie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles and her sister-in-love Elfie Kozik. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Lee Darling (Daniel Fried); son, William M. Darling (Beth Anne); brother, Michael Kozik; sisters-in-love, Patricia Darling Kendig (Richard) and Lynnette Darling; her grandchildren, Cristina Bennett (Eric), Brian Darling (Elizabeth), Bridget Snively (Daniel), William Fried (Ashleigh), Jaqueline Fried (Max Khudyk), Bria Brown, and Brynne Brown (Michael Ulinski); and her great granddaughters, Annabelle and Evelyn Bennett, Erin and Jordan Darling, and Vienna Snively; along with her nephews, nieces and friends. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, Martie attended Muhlenberg School of Nursing. She met the love of her life at the age of 18 at Rutgers University Library, where he was a student. They married and started their life together, living happily together for 58 years. Martie held many jobs over her lifetime, but anyone who knows her, knows that her job with Amtrak was a job that was made for her. This is evident by the numerous recognitions and awards that she received. Martie was a craftsperson at heart. Her beautiful handcrafted jewelry won many awards at the countless craft shows in which she participated. Martie also enjoyed canning and preserving food for her family- that apple butter was a fan favorite! Martie was an avid couponer, and always knew where to find the best deals! Martie also tolerated camping with her family and friends at River Beach Campground in May's Landing, NJ. But Martie's heart was at the racetrack. From working there to handicapping the horses with Chuck, the racetrack was a second home. Bill often joked with his mom about being raised at the track! Relatives and friends are invited to Martha's Life Celebration on Thursday May 22nd, 2025 from 5:00 PM until the time of her Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at The Beck/Givnish Funeral Home 7400 New Falls Road, Levittown PA 19055. The family requests that you join them at Georgine's Restaurant, 1320 Newport Rd, Bristol at 7:30 for a continuation of the celebration. In lieu of flowers, Martie would like you to place a bet on a lucky racehorse at the running of the Belmonte Stakes.
