Marvin E. Weekley, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 11, 2025, at 2:35pm. Marvin was at home surrounded by his family and passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord. Marvin was born in Perdido, Alabama and was a resident of Daphne, Alabama. Marvin worked forty-one years for the Alabama State Docks as a Railroad Car Service Manager.
Marvin was preceded in death by his devoted and lovely wife, Ann Weekley. He is survived by his sons, Michael Weekley and Bryan Weekley (married to Beth); his grandchildren, Trinity, Brodie, Bayleigh, Ashleigh, Arielle, Cayleigh, Christen, Douglas, and Nicholas; his sister, Leila Harville; and brother, James Weekley (married to Sandra).
Marvin and Ann were happily married for 64 years. Marvin loved life and was devoted to and being a protector of his family. Marvin gave a kidney to his younger brother, Dr. Glen Weekley, reflecting his deep love and conviction for taking care of family.
Marvin loved the outdoors and working in his yard. Though he was slowed by his debilitating kidney disease, Marvin lived the later years by the philosophy instilled in him by his brother Glenn who often stated, "God isn't so concerned with how I understand as He is with how I respond." Marvin loved his family and friends. He shared with his sons on many occasions that family loves one another period. Love and forgiveness are at the heart of living a happy and fulfilled life, keeping Jesus as your focus in all that you do.
Ann, Marvin's lovely wife, received the most wonderful Mother's Day gift this year as Marvin joined her in eternity with our Lord.
Marvin will forever be remembered as "Bubba" to Leila, James and Glenn's family, their children and grandchildren, for his joking ways, his story telling, his devotion to his family, and most importantly his devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Eastern Shore Baptist Church, 6847 Park Drive, Daphne, AL, at 10AM. There will be a time of visitation before the service, beginning at 9AM. Marvin will be buried in the family plot at Perdido Baptist Cemetery in Perdido, Alabama, at 12:30PM.

.Leila, James: So sad to read of Marvin's passing even though we know he's rejoicing now. He and Ann were precious people and faithful servants of Christ. You'll be in my prayers.
