Mary Lynn (Sells) Mason, age 82, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 14, 1943, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, daughter of the late Woodrow and Glenna (Bochard) Sells. She graduated from Mt. Sterling Plains High School in 1961. Where she was a drum majorette and president of her class. Mary Lynn was an instructor at Nationwide Beauty Academy and also owned her own salon named House of Styles in Mt. Sterling. After moving to Columbus, she was a supervisor at Metalgraphics Inc. and later retired from Westerville Retirement Center as a hairstylist. She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Shelley (Groff) and Danny Iulianelli, granddaughters; Carrissa (Sean) McLaughlin and Marria Iulianelli, and great-grandsons; Declan and Carter McLaughlin. Along with her stepson W. James and Marcie Mason and their daughter Vanessa (Alex) Lyman. Also survived by her brother Richard (Sandy) Sells, sister-in-law Trudy (Dave) Mullenix, extended family members, and special friend Robin Amos. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James W. Mason and her sister Patricia Hassler. Mary Lynn enjoyed writing letters and sending cards to loved ones, working in the yard, playing with the family dog Ryder and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 30 from 4:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM at the MYERS-WOODYARD Funeral Home 587 Main St, Groveport, OH 43125.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to please make donations to Mt.Carmel Hospice.
