Mary Roberts Obituary
On July 9, 1955, Louise married George Edward Roberts. They were married for 38 years. Together, they raised a family filled with treasured memories. She is survived by her children: Glen Eliot Roberts (Isabel) of Raymondville, Texas; Peggy Sue Gregory (JD) of Cadiz, Kentucky; Evelyn Louise DeMoss (Galen) of Dripping Springs, Texas; and daughter-in-law Jackie Luther-Roberts of Elgin. She was a proud grandmother to Chris DeMoss (Erin) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Alicia Jenkins (Robert) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Rebecca DeMoss of Austin, Texas; Cliff Johnson (Amanda) of Houston, Texas; and Angela Balthrop (Jay) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She also had ten great-grandchildren.
Louise is also survived by her sister Claudia Jean Greenwood of Alpharetta, Georgia; her niece Tricia Stringer (Stephen), also of Alpharetta; one great-niece and two great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Eddie Roberts, her brother-in-law Alan Pat Greenwood, and two infant siblings.
Louise earned her Medical Assistant certificate on September 21, 1989. However, she chose to continue working at Hays County Abstract and Title in San Marcos, Texas. She also served faithfully as President of the Ladies Auxiliary at Central Texas Medical Center for many years and had over 9500 volunteer hours. She loved crafting items for the hospital gift shop, as well as for her grandchildren.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Auberge Bee Caves and Magnolia Hospice for their compassionate care during Louise's final days.
Graveside services will be provided by Pennington's Funeral Home and graveside services at Memory Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, January 25 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dripping Springs Methodist Church, Henly Baptist Church, or the Alzheimer's Association.
