Mr. Fred Donald Turner, age 85, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital.

He was born on December 9, 1939 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. John Young Turner and Mrs. Tessie Lee Cochran Turner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Turner Powers; siblings, Hubert Turner, J.L. Turner, Elbert Turner, Irene Bell, Vera Roberson, Myrtle Evans, Mildred Womack, Evelyn Biddy, Dorothy Rattaree.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Hatten Turner; children, Sonya Gaye Turner, Micah Lydell Turner, Tessa Turner Davis, Damon Young Turner (Julie Ann Campbell Turner); son-in-law, Jerry Byron Powers, Jr.; grandchildren, Trenton Powers, Logan Powers, Meaca Reed, Caleb Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Forrest Turner, Savanna Turner, Paden Vaughan, Gavin Vaughan, Lily Pelow, Brynlee Davis, Reese Turner, Rhett Turner; sister-in-law, Gertie Turner; various "much loved" nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Fred Turner will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Narroway Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Tibbitts and Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Herschel Tibbitts officiating.

The gentlemen serving as pallbearers are as follows: Damon Turner, Micah Turner, Paden Vaughan, Gavin Vaughan, Caleb Taylor, and Logan Powers.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
