Myron "Marty" Michael Martin passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2025. Marty was born on December 24, 1949 in San Francisco, California. He attended Hillcrest Elementary School, St. Theresa's School, and Bishop O'Dowd High School, all in Oakland, California. He went on to attend college at the University of California, Davis, where he met his wife of 52 years, Lynn Peterson Martin. He eventually graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Organizational Behavior. He worked for many years as a Teamster, and then became a private investigator and small business owner. He is survived by his wife Lynn, his son Anthony, his daughter Ellie and her husband Mark, his daughter Jacqui and her husband Stewart, his five grandchildren Rebecca, Anna, William, Gracie, and Luke, and his two sisters Monica Martin and Madelon Martin. Marty was known for his wit, his generosity, and his quiet strength. He was a great storyteller, a devoted husband, and a loving Pop Pop to his grandchildren. The family will be holding a private memorial.

Myron and I were classmates from first through fifth grade, and our parents were close. He was kind, gentle, and friendly. I wish I'd kept up with him over the years. My best to his family.
