Nancy Jayne Arnold, of Avon, Indiana, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 24, 1939, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Floyd and Mildred Beckley, who preceded her in death. Nancy grew up in Camby, Indiana, and attended West Newton Grade School before graduating from Decatur Central High School in 1957. She worked for 25 years at Indiana Bell, where she was a dedicated and valued employee. Nancy was a woman of deep faith and a lifelong servant of God. Her greatest joys came from gardening, spending time with her family and showing unwavering devotion to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. She adored animals and shared a special bond with her beloved dogs, Billy and Ruby, as well as the many cats she cared for throughout her life. She is survived by her three children; Tamra Blakley, Tim Arnold and Tarena Stretton; her ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a beloved sister to Jerri Wallace, Charla Minnick and her husband Larry. She was also a loyal friend to many. Nancy’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Rocklane Cemetery, Greenwood.
