Patricia Bennett

ELDRED - Patricia A. (Storms) Bennett of Eldred passed away Saturday (April 26, 2025).
Born Sept. 24, 1949, in Baltimore, Md., Patricia was a daughter of Dr. Robert A. and Eleanor R. Storms. She spent the majority of her youth growing up in Wellsville, N.Y.
On July 6, 1968, she married A. Joe Bennett of Portville, N.Y. The couple was married for 56 years.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed visiting her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Easton and spending time with her close circle of friends. Pat loved to travel but was just as happy to cozy up to a book, work on a jigsaw puzzle, play a board game or watch a Hallmark holiday movie (regardless of the time of year).
An avid volunteer at the United Methodist Church in Eldred, Pat could often be found making blankets for gifts or to donate or supporting local groups and organizations, including the Otto-Eldred blessing boxes.
Pat was a long-time St. Bonaventure basketball season ticket holder and volunteered as a sports booster and band booster at Otto-Eldred School District.
Pat began her professional career at First National Bank in Portville but soon moved to Fibercel Corp. in Portville, from which she retired in 2014.
In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her daughter, Julie (Philip) LaBella; two grandchildren, Maggie and Philip LaBella; a sister, Audrey (James) Gathany of Hernando, Fla.; a nephew and niece, Chad (Erin) Gathany and Tracy Gathany; and a great-niece, Riley Gathany.
She was predeceased by her parents.
At her request, there will be no memorial services.
