Peggy Davis (nee Bourn), 92, went to be with our Lord on June 20, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1932 in Danville, Kentucky to Richard and Wanda Bourn. Peggy called many towns home while following her father’s naval and teaching careers, eventually settling in Cincinnati, where she attended Withrow High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Bill Davis, whom she married in 1952. They shared a beautiful and devoted marriage that lasted 72 years.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill, her loving children Betsy (the late Tom) Butler, Bill (Jill) Davis, and Cindy (Jim) Eldred. She was loved very much by her 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Rick (Kathy) Bourn, as well as many beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, son-in law, and brother-in-law.

Peggy lived a life of service and love, generously giving her time and talents to a wide variety of organizations. She was active in her church, her children’s and grandchildren’s schools, Welcome Wagon Club, Wagon Wheels Womens Club, the Guild of Mercy Hospital, and the Mercy Anderson Hospital Gift Shop.

Peggy loved getting to know those around her, building relationships and showing a genuine interest in her friends and their loved ones. Peggy had a special love for sewing and playing cards, as well as hobbies that brought her joy and connected her to many dear friends. Each member of our family has a beautiful Christmas stocking she knitted and a Humpty Dumpty doll she sewed for each new baby.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the friends and caregivers at The Barrington of Oakley, where Peggy and Bill have resided for the past eight years. Peggy thrived at The Barrington with their loving staff, incredible activities and many outings. Their kindness and care made a lasting difference in her life.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Appreciation Fund of The Barrington of Oakley, Freestore Foodbank, or the Music Department of Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church.

Funeral service for Peggy will be Friday, July 11 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church in the Sanctuary followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m in the Gathering Area and Parlor
