Phyllis Mary Jackson affectionately called "Honeybee", 66 departed this life on January 31, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.
Phyllis was born in Trenton, NJ on July 18, 1958, to the late Jesse Jackson and Marie Lillian Jackson. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was educated in the Trenton Public School System and graduated from Trenton Central High School class of 1976. She continued her education at Mercer County Community College.
Phyliss started working for the State of NJ-Ann Klein Forensic Center in 1979. She started Vroom building in Food Service and worked her way up to Senior Medical Security Officer. In December of 2011, Phyllis retiredafter many years of dedicated service.
Phyllis accept God in her life and went to church services. She loved her dogs: Max, Billy, and Kali; and her turtle Sunshine. She enjoyed buying gifts for her nieces and nephews and traveling to experience new places. She loved to talk on the phone with her friends and family, scroll on TikTok while watching her tv shows, especially General Hospital and game shows, while being wrapped in her nice warm blanket in her chair with a glass of ice-cold Coke.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Johnson; paternal grandmother, Jannette Jackson; a sister, Sylvia Jackson; and a brother, Jesse Jean "Boot" Jackson, Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her soulmate, Carl Winrow, Jr.; her son, Carl J. Jackson-Winrow; her daughter, Ashley M. Winrow; her siblings: Sandra Jackson, Lester (Toni) Jackson, Ronald (Janice) Jackson,
Michael (Maria) Jackson, and Brenda Jackson; soulmate's parents, Carl Winrow, Sr. and Rose Marie Winrow; special friends, Joyce Crosland; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Funeral service will 11am Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
