Robert Enoch Griffin was born April 23, 1950, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Albert & Bassie Cloud Griffin. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1968, and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army Airborne Division. Robert was Baptist by faith.
Robert was described as a "plain ol' country boy" who loved fishing on the creek, vegetable gardening, and rescuing wildlife like owls, rabbits, raccoons. He was kind-hearted but kept to himself enjoying the peacefulness of just being. Music soothed his soul, and he spent hours picking his guitar and playing the drums. Robert found solace riding his Harley in the great wide open.
Survivors include his sister, Beverly Griffin Copeland of Bainbridge; his nephews, Sid Copeland and Caleb Griffin; a special cousin, Marcilla Dyke; and a host of extended family. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Grady Monroe Griffin.
