Robert J. Muse

Robert Junior Muse was born to JB and Hazel Muse in Vernon Texas on July 23, 1936. He had a nice long life! He was 88 years old when he died on May 22, 2025. He grew up in the border area between Oklahoma and Texas and attended school in Vernon. But his early life was chaotic and he left home to come and live with an Aunt and Uncle in Choctaw when he was only 16. He had two sisters, Barbara Anne and Linda, as well as a little brother Jimmy. Robert learned to repair business machines, when there were still such things, typewriters, adding machines, as well as specialty office equipment. He later worked on computers, as well as blue print machines and all manner of print and duplication equipment. There were very few things he couldn't coax into working.
He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara June Glazner, and was happily married for 44 years. They had 2 children: Robert Christopher and Richard Clifton. After Barbara's death in 2001. Robert found love again with Brenda Lee Rosebeary, and they were married in 2003. This brought to the marriage step children. and well as many grand children. Robert relished being a grandfather.
Brenda passed away in 2020, from complications around COVID 19. And Robert never really recovered. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Robert and Barbara spent weekends and summer vacations with their friend group from church, The Cookson Hills Gang, invading various campgrounds and lakes around the state. They had many memorable times. They enjoyed entertaining in the home with laughter and love shared with anyone and everyone. Robert and Brenda traveled all over the United States, enjoying the company of friends and working together at the local school. They loved working together in the yard and garden.
Robert served honorably in the Oklahoma National Guard, the Jaycee's and various civil and religious organizations. He was a longtime member of Nicoma park Christian Church were he served as a deacon, elder and as various committee chairs.
He was a great father, grandfather husband and friend. A good man, who will be missed.
A celebration of his life will be held at Nicoma Park Christian Church on Thursday May 29, 2025 at 10a.m. Donations in his honor can be made to Nicoma Park Christian Church or Suncrest Hospice
