It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Rene Rodriguez Sr., at the age of 65, also known as Bobby and Humbob, he passed away on May 5, 2025. He was born and raised in Sacramento, California on September 21, 1959, to his parents, Julio and Hope Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his sister, Yolíe.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Sherry; his daughter, Renee (Ralph); his son, Robert Jr. (Tami); his five cherished grandchildren, Drew (Marjorie), D'Angelo, Andrew, Ayden, and Amora; and his two great-grandchildren, Nayeli and Nevaeh. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Arturo); his brother, Julio (Gilda); his brother, Luis, of Mexico; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert dedicated 31 years to Sacramento County Waste Management. Everyone who came in contact with Robert loved him and his infectious personality. He was a die-hard Raiders football fan and had a deep love for music, playing the congas in the band The Midnight Players. He loved cars and lowriders, was a true "Chevy man," and was also a very talented artist with a passion for drawing. Above all, Robert loved his family dearly.
A Celebration of Life to Honor Robert will be held at the California Automobile Museum, located at 2200 Front Street, Sacramento, on Friday, May 30th, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
