Greenville – Bob Sang, 72, passed peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bob, son of the late John and Ella Sang, was born in Brownsville, PA and grew up in Georgetown, DE. He worked over 40 years as an Agricultural Steel Manufacturing salesman throughout the Midwest and internationally with various companies. Throughout his life and career, he had the privilege of traveling to 17 countries and 47 states. He had a special gift of hospitality and loved cooking for others. His favorite vacation was spending time at any beach. He valued a good quality of life and exercised regularly, which greatly enhanced his life. He deeply loved his family.

At the age of 8 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Throughout his life he developed a deep relationship with the Lord devoting his time in prayer and reading the Bible. He was bold about sharing his faith with others proclaiming the Word of God to anyone wherever he went. He strongly believed in helping others in need. He volunteered at the Salvation Army Mission Station breakfast and served as a Gideon spreading the Word. He always encouraged others to read the Bible for themselves and continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five older sisters: Dorothy, Betty, June, Janet, and Judy.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Sang; daughter, Heather Sang (Jacob Anderson) of Portland, OR; son, Christopher Sang (Carey) of Victoria, MN; granddaughters, Hannah and Ainsley Sang; and stepson, Tayloe Perkins of Richmond, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 2718 S. Memorial Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
