Minister Sheila Darlene Williams "Sheila D" was born May 29, 1959, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Harris Neal Williams Sr. and Jeanette Ford Williams. A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. She was a member of St. John Holiness where she served on the Praise Team, Minister of Music, Choir Director, Women's Dept., and Sunday School Teacher. She also worked faithfully over various programs in the church. She sincerely had a listening ear. Sheila was a retired bus driver for the City of Lake Charles. She departed this life Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2PM, in a local hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Rosha Demond Foley and Cory Dewayne (Grace) Foley; four sisters, Jennifer Williams, Deidre Williams Jones, Pamela (Willie) Latimer, and Teisha (Jason) Ceasar; four brothers, Harris (Deidre) Williams Jr., Jeffery (Joyce) Williams, Gregory (Erica) Williams, and Eric Williams; one grandchild, Gavin Carter Cole; two brothers-in-law, Louis Williams and Glenn Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Lisa Williams; brothers, Anthony Red and Mark Guillory; and nephews, Phillip and Shane Landry. Her visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 9AM with her funeral following at 11AM, at True Light Baptist Church located at 1518 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, Pastor Alvin Noel. Pastor Carey Semien will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of James Funeral Home.
