Shirae Lynn Powell, a radiant soul whose very essence illuminated the lives of those around her, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on September 26, 1967, in Amarillo, Texas, Shirae was a beacon of kindness and positivity, her soft spoken nature and childlike voice leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of many.
A proud graduate of Amarillo High School, class of 1986, Shirae carried the values instilled in her youth throughout the tapestry of her life. Her personality—a perfect harmony of reserve and warmth—allowed her to always see the best in others; she never succumbed to negativity. Shirae's gentle smile was as constant as the rising sun, bringing light to every room she entered. Her steadfastness served not only her family but also her professional endeavors, embodying a deep sense of pride in her work and unwavering ethics.
Shirae’s passions were multifaceted—a lover of fashion design, both in clothing and hair, she had an eye for detail that transformed the ordinary into extraordinary. Through her sewing skills, she expressed her artistic spirit, creating garments that spoke of her creativity and flair. Her culinary talents brought warmth to countless gatherings; gourmet cooking was more than a hobby for Shirae—it was an expression of love that enveloped friends and family alike in comfort and joy.
Above all, Shirae found her greatest pride in her beloved sons, Christopher and Caleb. They were not just her children but the embodiment of her hopes and dreams, reflective of a mother’s boundless love. Her heart fluttered with joy at the mere mention of their names, and her dedication to nurturing their lives was profound. It was the love for children that inspired Shirae to create “Shirae's Place,” a daycare where her warmth and kindness thrived, providing a safe haven for many little ones.
As we gather to honor and remember Shirae, we invite all who knew her to join in celebrating a life enriched by love, laughter, and an unwavering belief in the goodness of others. Viewing services will be held on March 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas, TX.
